Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers close permanently.
A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered players a chance to battle alongside reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. While initially met with enthusiasm, the game's long beta period and infrequent content updates led to player attrition. The demanding shard collection system, requiring significant time investment or in-game spending to fully develop characters, also contributed to its decline. Despite these drawbacks, the game's character designs and visuals were widely praised.
The recent addition of Cinderella and new story content just a week before the EOS announcement surprised and disappointed many fans. This isn't Kabam's first abrupt game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
