Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season, Sandlord, has officially launched, marking the game's most expansive season to date. This season introduces a host of new features that significantly alter the traditional gameplay, challenging players to construct a floating empire in the sky.
The centerpiece of the season is the Cloud Oasis, a city that players manage. Here, you'll gather resources from the Netherrealm and transform them into substantial benefits by assigning workers to one of five professions. This system unlocks new trade routes, bonuses, and seasonal rewards, blending action RPG combat with strategy simulation elements.
The character Thea has undergone a dramatic transformation, evolving from a divine channeler to the Blasphemer. Instead of granting blessings, she now spreads desecration, inflicting Erosion Damage that escalates over time.
The Deep Space region has received a significant update, introducing five new stages packed with monsters and survival challenges. A new item, Probes, similar to Compasses, occupies its own slot and enhances both the rewards and the difficulty of your adventures.
The endgame experience is enriched with new Legendary Stages, which are rare but offer unique loot setups that can change your approach to gameplay. Some zones deviate from the norm, such as the Abyssal Vault, devoid of enemies but brimming with Mystery Chests ready to be opened.
In contrast, the Sea of Rites features a non-aggressive goblin swarm. Eliminating them could summon a secret boss, adding an extra layer of excitement. The Supreme Showdown stage introduces the Golden Gaze mechanic, allowing both players and bosses to use it. A well-timed hit can transform enemies into treasure instantly.
As Torchlight: Infinite celebrates its second anniversary, you can download the game from the Google Play Store and immerse yourself in the latest season's adventures.
