Donkey Kong Bananza
Release Date: Out July 17
Pricing and Availability:
For Donkey Kong Bananza, there are no special editions available. Your decision boils down to choosing between a physical or digital copy.
MSRP: $69.99
Nintendo has introduced a new $79.99 price point for certain Switch 2 titles like Mario Kart World and even some enhanced original Switch games like Super Mario Party Jamboree. However, Donkey Kong Bananza sticks to the $69.99 mark. This is $10 more than the typical price for most original Switch games, but it's a relief it's not priced at $79.99.
What Is Donkey Kong Bananza?
Marking the first new 3D Donkey Kong game since Donkey Kong 64 on the N64 in 1999, Donkey Kong Bananza introduces a fresh gameplay mechanic: digging. Donkey Kong can now pound and smash his way through the ground or cliff sides, unearthing secrets and treasures. While much of the gameplay seems to take place underground, the game spans various environments including forests, canyons, lagoons, and frozen tundras. Staying true to the series, you'll also encounter side-scrolling and mine cart rail-riding sections. It promises to be a fun experience.
