Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2, hinting at its arrival on the new console even before any official announcement. While we await confirmation that the game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, will indeed grace the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, spotted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, seems to confirm the news.
"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet stated before it was removed, confirming that it had received a 12+ rating.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, boasting an impressive roster of playable characters, each equipped with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques. In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, describing it as "a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened on April 24, with the console priced at $449.99. The pre-order process was as hectic as expected. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered from the My Nintendo Store, stating that release date delivery was not guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
