After weeks of players clamoring for updates, the development team behind Infinity Nikki has finally addressed the community's concerns. If you've been playing the game, you're likely aware of the bumpy launch of Version 1.5, which many felt was rushed and incomplete. In a candid admission, the team acknowledged they weren't fully prepared for the rollout. As a result, they've decided to delay the eagerly anticipated Version 1.6.
Originally slated for release on June 4th, Version 1.6 has now been rescheduled for June 12th. Version 1.5 hit the shelves on April 28th, and in the interim, the current Bubble Season will be extended. This means that all ongoing events, including Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties?, will continue until the new release date. Popular stores like Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will remain open. Additionally, weekly tasks such as Starlit Pursuit, initially scheduled for May 20th, will now be part of Version 1.6.
The developers have issued an apology, citing struggles with performance optimization across various platforms, including PlayStation. They've reassured players that they are refining gameplay systems and that missing storylines, such as Threads of Reunion, are merely delayed, not abandoned.
Recently, Infinity Nikki has been plagued with numerous bugs, broken quests, and co-op issues. In an effort to mitigate the fallout, the team is offering compensation: 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day from June 5th to June 12th. However, players must log in daily to claim these rewards.
Some in the community view this compensation as a last-ditch effort to improve engagement metrics following the recent setbacks. There's also dissatisfaction among players due to the rapid shift from the apology to promotional campaigns for new outfits, which many see as tone-deaf.
What are your thoughts on the mishaps surrounding Version 1.5 and the delays of Version 1.6 in Infinity Nikki? We'd love to hear your comments. Feel free to visit the game's page on the Google Play Store to stay updated on its progress.
