Kieran Culkin Cast as Caesar Flickerman in 'The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping'

Kieran Culkin, renowned for his role as Roman Roy in the hit series Succession, has been officially cast as the young Caesar Flickerman in Lionsgate’s upcoming adaptation of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The announcement, made via X/Twitter, puts an end to months of speculation about who would take on the role of the iconic and flamboyant TV host in this eagerly awaited prequel.

Sunrise on the Reaping follows the timeline set by The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes released in 2023, situating itself well before the events of the Jennifer Lawrence-starring Hunger Games series that concluded in 2015. Culkin steps into the role previously portrayed by Stanley Tucci, bringing his unique flair to the character of Caesar Flickerman.
