KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the popular mobile RPG by Sesisoft, will cease operations on January 30th, 2025. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously after nearly five years of service. However, a glimmer of hope remains: developers are planning a limited offline version preserving the main storyline, key quests, and significant events. Details on this offline release are scarce, leaving its actual implementation uncertain.
Regarding in-app purchases, the developers are handling the closure responsibly. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025, with in-app purchases already disabled since October 31st, 2024. Players can still utilize existing in-game Quartz and items until the service ends. Refunds for unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 are available until January 30th, 2025.
Launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game based on the KonoSuba franchise. The game featured an engaging storyline set in a world under threat from the Devil King's army, boasting charming storytelling and appealing visuals within its visual novel-style story mode.
Unfortunately, mirroring the fate of many gacha RPGs, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days is closing its doors. This year has seen numerous anime game shutdowns, often attributed to challenges in maintaining player engagement or managing the high costs of production.
With only a few months remaining, now's your chance to experience KonoSuba: Fantastic Days if you haven't already. Download it from the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, check out our article on Orna: The GPS MMORPG's Conqueror's Guild for PvP Battles.
