Shortly after announcing the premiere date for the anime adaptation of Devil May Cry, Netflix unveiled the series' opening trailer. Set to the iconic Rollin' track by nu-metal legends Limp Bizkit, the trailer showcased dynamic scenes featuring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit, brimming with nods to the beloved game series. This musical choice sets the tone for an action-packed journey back to the late 90s and early 2000s, a period that the show aims to authentically capture.

Showrunner Adi Shankar shared his vision for the anime's future, emphasizing the importance of the soundtrack in reflecting the era's spirit. Alongside Limp Bizkit, fans can expect to hear other iconic tracks from the time, as well as a reimagined game soundtrack by the synthwave duo Power Glove. Shankar also hinted at the series' evolving visual style and soundtrack across seasons, mirroring the diversity found in the Devil May Cry games. This suggests that the anime is poised for multiple seasons, each with its unique flair.

While plot details remain under wraps, the first season is set to adapt the manga Code 1: Dante (Devil May Cry 3), where a young demon hunter delves into the mystery of a missing child. This investigation will compel him to confront his past, his family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda.

The inaugural season will feature 8 episodes and is scheduled to premiere on April 3, 2025, promising fans a thrilling dive into Dante's world.
