When discussing iconic female fighting game characters, three names immediately come to mind: Nina Williams, Chun-Li, and Mai Shiranui. Although fans enjoyed seeing Nina and Chun-Li clash in Street Fighter x Tekken, it appears we won't witness their interaction in upcoming titles anytime soon.
However, excitement is building for fans of Mai Shiranui, who is set to join Street Fighter 6 as a guest character. It's no surprise that the developers have chosen to showcase Mai against the legendary Chun-Li in her gameplay trailer, highlighting a thrilling matchup.
Mai's trailer showcases several of her signature moves, with her super move being particularly stunning. There's no doubt that she will become a fan favorite in Street Fighter 6. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on her, as Capcom has announced her release date as February 5.
With three more weeks to go, anticipation is high. Hopefully, the Street Fighter 6 team will keep the community engaged with additional content to tide us over until Mai's arrival.
