MiHoYo’s Upcoming Animal Crossing-Like Game Astaweave Haven Now Has a New Name!

HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, is keeping busy! Their upcoming game, originally titled Astaweave Haven, has been renamed Petit Planet. While details remain scarce, this shift hints at a potential departure from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha RPGs.

If you're a fan of gacha or RPGs, you might have already heard whispers about Astaweave Haven. However, official information has been limited. Early indications suggest Petit Planet will be a life-simulation or management game, drawing comparisons to titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.

The name change itself is intriguing. "Petit Planet" conveys a charming, casual feel, further reinforcing the possibility of a management sim rather than another gacha RPG in the HoYoVerse style.

Release Date Uncertainty

Currently, there's no official release date. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile in July. The name change to Petit Planet was registered in October, and now awaits approval in the U.S. and U.K.

Given MiHoYo's rapid release schedule (consider the back-to-back launches of Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero), we can hope for a quick approval process and subsequent gameplay reveals.
