Monster Hunter Wilds March 2025 Update: Full Title 1 Announcements

by Joseph May 05,2025

Capcom recently hosted an exciting Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, revealing a wealth of new content coming to the latest installment in the iconic Monster Hunter series. Title Update 1 is set to launch on April 4, 2025, and will be available as a free update for all Monster Hunter Wilds owners. Alongside the update, a variety of free and paid DLCs will be introduced, enhancing the game's immersive experience. A new social hub, fresh armor sets, and captivating cosmetic options are among the highlights, along with the introduction of new formidable monsters to challenge.

We're eager to know which aspect of the upcoming update excites you the most! Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

PlayA New Hub For Hunters ---------------------

The showcase kicked off with an exciting reveal of the new endgame hub for hunting parties, aptly named the Grand Hub. This new area offers a plethora of activities for players to enjoy, from feasting together and arm wrestling to enjoying live performances by the Diva at night. A fun addition is the Barrel Bowling mini-game, where players can earn vouchers and rewards through various in-game activities. To unlock the Grand Hub, reach Hunter Rank 16 and speak with Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.

Mizutsune Arrives

A major highlight of Title Update 1 is the arrival of the graceful yet dangerous Mizutsune. Known for its swift tail strikes and powerful water jets, Mizutsune promises to be a challenging opponent. To embark on this quest, reach Hunter Rank 21 and head to the Scarlet Forest to speak with Kanya. Successful hunters will have the opportunity to craft new gear from their spoils.

Additional Hunts on the Way

Prepare for a thrilling new Event Quest featuring Arch-tempered Rey Dau, a monster even more formidable than the usual Tempered foes. You'll need to be at least Hunter Rank 50 to take on this challenge, with new armor awaiting those who emerge victorious. Additionally, Zoh Shia will return in new quests after you reach HR 50, offering more opportunities to battle this beast and craft unique armor sets.

Arena Quests

Speedrunners and competitive players will find their niche with the introduction of Arena Quests. These quests challenge players to achieve the fastest clear times, with both Challenge and Free Challenge Quests available. Participate and achieve to earn exclusive pendants. Access these quests at the counter in the Grand Hub.

Change Alma's Outfit

Alma, the beloved handler, is getting a stylish update. Players can now customize her appearance through a new menu at camp, with one new outfit available for free. Complete a specific side mission to unlock additional glasses options for Alma.

More DLC is on the Way

In conjunction with Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLC will be released. Free additions include classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, available in the store or through the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, offers more extensive cosmetic options. Look forward to new stickers and additional outfits for Alma.

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events

The excitement continues with more Event Quests and the introduction of Seasonal Events. During these special periods, the Grand Hub will transform, and themed meals will be available. Seasonal Events will bring limited-time equipment, gestures, decorations, and more. The first Seasonal Event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starts on April 23, featuring pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has confirmed that most previous events and quests will make a return.

The Roadmap Ahead

Here's what to expect in the coming months: Title Update 1 will launch on April 3 for U.S. players, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau arrives on April 29, with further features and a Capcom collaboration set to debut by the end of May.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2

The showcase concluded with a tantalizing glimpse of Title Update 2, slated for this summer. While no specific date has been set, the teaser image suggests the return of the beloved Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, now causing havoc on the surface.

Monster Hunter Wilds has already made a significant impact with its launch, and with Title Update 1, Capcom is setting the stage for a continuous stream of engaging content.
