Indie studio We Are Muesli has unveiled an exciting new narrative game titled *In Their Shoes*, set for release in 2026 on both mobile and PC platforms. This innovative title has already made waves by securing a nomination for the 'A MAZE. 2025' awards, dedicated to independent and arthouse games, in Berlin.
Set in the vibrant yet contradictory city of Milan, *In Their Shoes* offers players a unique opportunity to delve into the lives of seven distinct characters. The game is composed of 49 short interactive stories, each termed a 'Moment', providing intimate glimpses into the daily lives of these characters.
Each 'Moment' allows players to experience the characters' hesitations, routines, and crucial split-second decisions. Some stories unfold at a leisurely pace, enabling you to immerse yourself in the character's thoughts, while others demand quick reactions, simulating the urgency of real-life scenarios.
The narrative of *In Their Shoes* is intentionally fragmented, setting it apart from other games in the genre. As players navigate through these scattered stories, they will uncover 26 hidden biographical details about each character, offering a deep and authentic slice-of-life experience.
While the game's Play Store page is still under development, its Steam page is already live. For a sneak peek at *In Their Shoes*, check out the announcement trailer below.
