Nostalgic Resurgence: Beloved 1994 PC, PS1 Classic Returns

Microids is bringing back the classic action-adventure game, Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest, a modernized reimagining of the 1994 original, to all major platforms this fall. This updated version retains the charm of the original while boasting significant 21st-century enhancements. The project is a collaboration between Microids (also working on a new Totally Spies game) and the emerging studio 2.21, a fitting tribute given the original's development by Adeline Software International (now defunct), a team comprised largely of Infogrames alumni.

This remake features a revamped game world and controls, enhanced visuals, a redesigned signature weapon for Twinsen, and a fresh artistic direction. Adding to the excitement, Philippe Vachey, the original composer and collaborator with Frederick Raynal (Infogrames' former lead programmer and creator of Little Big Adventure) on the Alone in the Dark series, returns to craft a new soundtrack.

A Reworked Classic for Modern Gamers

Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest unfolds on the planet Twinsun, home to four harmonious species. This peaceful existence is shattered by Dr. Funfrock's inventions: cloning and teleportation. Dr. Funfrock seizes control, forcing Twinsen, our hero, to embark on a thrilling journey filled with challenging puzzles and formidable enemies. Twinsen's mission: defeat Dr. Funfrock and liberate Twinsun's inhabitants.

The game's history includes a 2011 GOG.com re-release (PC and Mac), followed by Android and iOS versions. The seeds of this remake were sown in 2021 when 2.21, led by Didier Chanfray (co-creator of the original and involved in Time Commando), announced their ambition. The result of their efforts is Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest, launching this year on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG).
