Oblivion Remastered Images Leak from Developer Site

by Owen May 04,2025

Exciting news has emerged for fans of The Elder Scrolls series, as more details about the long-awaited remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion have been leaked. The leak, originating from developer Virtuos' website, showcases screenshots and images of what appears to be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. These images, which have quickly spread across forums like ResetEra and Reddit, highlight significant enhancements in models, details, and overall fidelity.

The leak was first brought to public attention by Wario64 on Twitter, who shared the images and a link to the original source. However, as of now, accessing most pages on Virtuos' website has become nearly impossible, suggesting that the company may be in the process of removing the leaked content.

Despite the quick action to scrub the details, the information has already made its way across the internet. According to VGC, the remastered game, titled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, is a joint effort between Virtuos and Bethesda's studios in Dallas and Rockville. Virtuos, known for their work on several notable remasters including The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, brings their expertise to this project.

The remaster is reportedly set to launch on multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X|S (with availability on Game Pass), and PlayStation 5. There will also be a Deluxe Edition available, which includes bonus content such as weapons and horse armor—a playful nod to the infamous 2006 DLC.

Rumors of an Oblivion remaster have been circulating for some time, with initial hints appearing in leaked documents from the Microsoft-FTC trial in 2023. Recent reports have even suggested the possibility of a shadow drop as early as this month.

While no official statement or reveal has been made at the time of writing, the substantial amount of leaked information points strongly toward the imminent release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Fans of the series are eagerly awaiting further updates and an official announcement from Bethesda.
