Osmos, the acclaimed cell-absorbing puzzle game, is back on Android! Previously removed due to compatibility issues that hindered updates, developer Hemisphere Games has resurrected it with a completely revamped port.
Remember the unique physics-based gameplay of Osmos? Absorb microorganisms, evade capture—a simple yet captivating challenge. Now, for the first time in years, this award-winning puzzler is available on modern Android devices.
Hemisphere Games explains in a blog post that the original Android version, developed with Apportable, became difficult to update after Apportable's closure. The game was subsequently removed from Google Play due to incompatibility with current (64-bit) Android systems. This new release boasts a fully rebuilt port, resolving the playability issues.
