At the beginning of any game, it's challenging to determine the character type that will suit you best. This is where respeccing becomes essential. If you're not enjoying your current setup, consider respeccing. In *Avowed*, I initially aimed to be a full wizard but found myself struggling, so I switched to a spellsword. As you progress, you might want to respec to optimize your combat effectiveness and achieve your ideal build.

How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed

To respec in Avowed, navigate to the “Abilities” section in the menu. At the bottom of the screen, you'll find the “Reset Points” option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases as you advance in the game. Confirm your choice, pay the listed price, and all your ability points will be reset across all skill trees, except for the “Godlike” abilities, which are determined by in-game choices.

How to Respec Your Attributes in Avowed

If you're satisfied with your abilities but not your attributes, or if you want to overhaul everything, head to the “Character” section in the menu. At the bottom, under the attribute names, you'll see a button with an associated cost. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases over time. Press the button, pay the cost, and reclaim your Attribute points.

How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed

To respec your companion in Avowed, go to the Abilities section in the menu and select the “Companions” tab. Under your companion's name, you'll see an icon that allows you to exchange Copper Skeyt for a respec. Click the button, confirm your choice, and you'll regain all of your companion's points. Remember, you need to respec each companion individually.
