Ever wondered what turns a fun day out into a chilling adventure? Just dim the lights and introduce a murderous clown or two, and voilà, you have a carnival that's anything but fun. If you're skeptical, perhaps a visit to The Haunted Carnival might just convince you otherwise.
Now available on Android, The Haunted Carnival is an escape room-style puzzler that plunges you into the heart of an eerie carnival with one goal: to escape. Much like last week's topic, Legacy Reawakening, this game combines the elements of a point-and-click adventure with the freedom to explore a fully rendered carnival at your own pace.
The carnival isn't a single, sprawling world but rather divided into five distinct rooms, each containing five unique puzzles. The Haunted Carnival promises not just intriguing challenges but also a hefty dose of spookiness. If clowns send shivers down your spine, you might want to steer clear of this one.
Admit oneI must admit, I was initially skeptical upon noticing the use of AI-generated art in The Haunted Carnival's icon. However, my doubts were dispelled (and I was left somewhat perplexed) when I encountered the game's delightful, crunchy low-poly environments, which are quite visually appealing.
While I haven't had the chance to delve into the gameplay itself, if the puzzles are as well-crafted as the environments, then The Haunted Carnival is definitely worth checking out.
