What's New in Season 4?
This season introduces a frigid tundra habitat teeming with challenging creatures. New monsters making their debut include Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex. Returning favorites like Barioth, along with smaller monsters such as Wulg and Cortos, also appear. Tigrex will be a formidable opponent in Hunt-a-thons and may even surprise you in the field. Unlock these powerful hunters by completing urgent quests as you progress through the Season 4 story chapters. Finish the prologue to gain access to the snowy tundra.
A New Weapon: The Switch Axe
Season 4 introduces the versatile Switch Axe. This two-in-one weapon offers devastating long-range attacks in Axe Mode, then seamlessly transitions to powerful Sword Mode for aggressive close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by completing the pre-season story in Chapter 2.
Customizable Palico Companions
Get ready to welcome your very own Palico companion! These helpful allies assist in gathering materials and scouting monsters. Customize their fur color, facial features, and give them a unique name. AR functionality lets you take your Palico into the real world for memorable photos.
Friend Cheering Feature
Season 4 introduces Friend Cheering, adding a collaborative element to your hunts. Send cheers to your friends to provide them with a temporary health boost for the day. Note that there's a limit to the amount of health you can gain from cheers.
