Sunset Hills, a new puzzle game available on Android, has been developed by Cottongame, the creators behind Reviver and Mr. Pumpkin Adventure. This game continues the tradition of immersing players in a soothing, pastel-colored universe filled with vintage cityscapes, anthropomorphic dogs, and touching narratives.
In Sunset Hills, you step into the shoes of Nico Grant, a novelist and former soldier. The story begins in June 794 as Nico embarks on a train journey to reconnect with his fellow ex-servicemen. It has been seven years since the war's end, and Nico feels a deep urge to rekindle these bonds. The friends he seeks are Ferruccio, Doug, and Roy.
The game delicately unfolds Nico's emotions and memories. As a child, Nico was introverted, preferring the company of books and his own imagination over social interactions. The war forced him into a world where his small stature and unique nature made him a target for bullying. Yet, he found solace and strength in writing, using a small notebook as his emotional outlet. This notebook not only helped him cope but also served as a conduit to forming lasting friendships with his squadmates during the war.
Now a successful adult and published author, Nico's journey takes him across various cities and countries by train. Each stop presents new moments and puzzles for players to solve alongside Nico.
Sunset Hills is a point-and-click adventure where your choices in dialogue can unlock crucial clues. Players will engage in picking up and combining items, solving puzzles that range from locating the right object to assisting characters, solving minor crimes, or even evading pursuits. The game also offers unique activities like sewing, baking, and performing with a band, adding depth to the gameplay.
The visual style of Sunset Hills combines hand-drawn illustrations with 3D scenes, featuring charming Victorian-inspired architecture that enhances the game's allure. Check out the trailer below to get a glimpse of this enchanting world.
If Sunset Hills piques your interest, you can download it from the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, don't forget to check out our coverage on Delta Force Mobile’s Burst Fest.
