In the thrilling world of *Phasmophobia*, Cursed Possessions like Tarot Cards can be a double-edged sword—offering great rewards but also posing significant risks. If you're curious about how to wield these mystical items, here's a comprehensive guide on using Tarot Cards during your ghost-hunting adventures.

Tarot Cards are among the riskiest Cursed Possessions in *Phasmophobia*, yet they can provide some of the most potent benefits if fortune smiles upon you. When you encounter Tarot Cards during your investigation, it's wise to use them in a secure spot on the map, such as near a hiding place or the entrance. This precaution is crucial because drawing a dangerous card like Death might give you a chance to flee if you're positioned strategically.

Each Tarot Card boasts a unique ability that activates instantly upon drawing. However, there's always a chance you'll pull The Fool, akin to a Joker, resulting in no effect. You can draw up to 10 cards from the deck without any impact on your sanity, and you might even draw duplicates, each carrying the same effect.

Here's a rundown of the 10 different cards you might encounter in the deck:

Tarot CardEffectDraw Chance
The TowerDoubles ghost activity for 20 seconds20%
The Wheel of FortuneThe user gains 25% sanity if the card burns green; loses 25% sanity if the card burns red20%

What are Cursed Objects (Possessions) in Phasmophobia?

Cursed Possessions, often referred to as "Cursed Objects," are unique items in *Phasmophobia* that appear randomly across any contract map, influenced by difficulty settings or if you're tackling Challenge Mode. Unlike your standard loadout equipment, which helps you locate and gather evidence of ghostly activity with minimal risk, Cursed Objects serve as shortcuts or cheats to manipulate the ghost, albeit at a much higher risk to your character's well-being.

The safety of using these objects varies based on their specific abilities, and it's up to you and your team to decide whether the potential rewards justify the risks. There's no penalty for avoiding them, nor is there a bonus for engaging with them.

In a standard contract, only one Cursed Possession will spawn, each type consistently appearing in the same location. For instance, the Voodoo Doll always materializes in the Garage at 6 Tanglewood Drive.

You'll find a total of seven different Cursed Objects in the game:

  • Haunted Mirror
  • Voodoo Doll
  • Music Box
  • Tarot Cards
  • Ouija Board
  • Monkey Paw
  • Summoning Circle
