Ubisoft Japan's 30th Anniversary Character Awards Crowns Ezio Auditore as Champion!

Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio is Ubisoft Japan’s Most Popular Character

Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the iconic Assassin's Creed protagonist, has emerged victorious in Ubisoft Japan's recent character popularity contest! This online event, celebrating Ubisoft Japan's three decades of game development, saw fans vote for their top three favorite characters from across Ubisoft's extensive catalog. The voting period, which ran from November 1st, 2024, concluded with Ezio securing the top spot.

To mark this momentous occasion, Ubisoft Japan has released exclusive Ezio-themed content. This includes four free digital wallpapers (available for PC and smartphones) showcasing Ezio in a unique artistic style, along with a special webpage dedicated to the winning character. Furthermore, a lottery will determine 30 lucky winners who will receive an acrylic stand set featuring Ezio, and ten additional fans will receive a coveted 180cm Ezio body pillow.

The top ten characters, as announced on Ubisoft Japan's website and X (formerly Twitter), are:

  1. Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations)
  2. Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs)
  3. Edward Kenway (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag)
  4. Bayek (Assassin's Creed Origins)
  5. Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin's Creed)
  6. Wrench (Watch Dogs)
  7. Pagan Min (Far Cry)
  8. Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin's Creed Valhalla)
  9. Kassandra (Assassin's Creed Odyssey)
  10. Aaron Keener (The Division 2)

In a separate poll, the Assassin's Creed franchise itself was also voted the most popular Ubisoft game series, beating out Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs for the top spot. The Division and Far Cry rounded out the top five.
