World of Warcraft is set to automatically convert any remaining Bronze Celebration Tokens from the 20th anniversary event into Timewarped Badges with the release of Patch 11.1. This means that players who didn't use all their tokens before the event concluded will automatically receive 20 Timewarped Badges for each Bronze Celebration Token in their inventory once the update goes live.
The World of Warcraft 20th anniversary event, which lasted 11 weeks, allowed players to accumulate hundreds of Bronze Celebration Tokens. These tokens were used to purchase revamped Tier 2 sets and various anniversary collectibles. Any unused tokens could be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, the currency used in Timewalking events.
With the event now over, World of Warcraft is assisting players who still have Bronze Celebration Tokens. As announced by WoW community manager Linxy on the forums, any characters with these tokens in their currency tabs will see them automatically converted to Timewarped Badges at a 1:20 ratio upon their first login after Patch 11.1 is released.
World of Warcraft Bronze Celebration Token Auto-Conversion in Patch 11.1
Once the 20th anniversary event ended on January 7, Bronze Celebration Tokens became obsolete. Blizzard has confirmed that these tokens will not be used in future events, even if the revamped Tier 2 sets return. The automatic conversion ensures that players who didn't spend all their tokens won't be left with a useless entry in their Currency tabs.
While Patch 11.1 does not yet have a confirmed release date, it's expected to launch around February 25. This date aligns with the end of the second Plunderstorm event (January 14 to February 17) and the Turbulent Timeways event (running through February 24), and it fits Blizzard's recent update schedule, considering the holiday period.
Unfortunately, the conversion of Bronze Celebration Tokens will occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event concludes. This seven-week event covers all Timewalking campaigns, offering numerous opportunities to spend Timewarped Badges. However, since the rewards available with Timewarped Badges are not disappearing, players can save their badges for future Timewalking events.
