EA Motive and SEED will unveil their groundbreaking "Texture Sets" technology at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), showcasing its application in titles like Dead Space and the highly anticipated Iron Man game. This innovative approach combines related texture sets into a single resource, streamlining processing and enabling the creation of richer, more detailed textures. EA's lead technical artist, Martin Palko, will lead the presentation, offering insights into the intricacies of this advanced texturing process.

The GDC presentation, running from March 17th to 21st, 2025, offers a tantalizing possibility: a glimpse of actual Iron Man gameplay or at least concrete details about the project. Announced in 2022, the game has remained shrouded in secrecy, fueling speculation about its potential cancellation. However, EA Motive's GDC participation confirms ongoing development.
Currently, the Iron Man game is known to be a single-player RPG featuring an open world and built using Unreal Engine 5. EA Motive is also expected to leverage its experience with Anthem's flight system in the development of Iron Man's aerial mechanics.
